PixPro Image Uploader ("the App") provides an image cropping and editing service that allows your customers to crop, adjust, and personalise images directly in your storefront before attaching them as a line-item property to a product ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Shopify Admin API – Store information: We access your store URL and store ID in order to link uploaded images to the correct merchant account and to display usage statistics inside the App dashboard.
Shopify Admin API – Order & product data (read-only): We retrieve aggregated statistics (e.g. number of uploads, editor sessions) to display within the App. We do not store raw order or customer records.

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information once you have installed the App:

Merchant store identifier: We store your Shopify shop URL and shop ID on our servers solely to associate the images uploaded by your customers with your account and to authenticate API requests.
Customer-uploaded images: Images that your customers crop or edit using the App are uploaded to and stored on our Content Delivery Network (CDN). These images are linked to your store via your shop ID. As the merchant, you can view, manage, and permanently delete any stored images at any time from within the App.

We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies:

Cookies: Data files placed on a user's device that often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable them, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
Log files: Track actions occurring on the App, and collect data including IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
Web beacons, tags, and pixels: Electronic files used to record information about how users interact with the App.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Specifically, we use this information to:

Deliver the image-cropping and editing Service, including storing edited images on our CDN and attaching them to the correct product line item in your store.
Authenticate and identify your store using your shop URL and ID so that images are correctly scoped to your account.
Display usage statistics and analytics within the App dashboard via the Shopify Admin API.
Communicate with you about your account or the App.
Optimise, maintain, and improve the performance and features of the App.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your personal information with third parties only as described below:

CDN provider: Customer-uploaded and edited images are stored on a third-party CDN. The CDN processes images solely on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using them for any other purpose.
Shopify: As required to operate the App on the Shopify platform and to connect with the Shopify Admin API.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Finally, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us using the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfil contracts we might have with you (for example if you use the Service through the App), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

We store only the data necessary to deliver the Service:

Uploaded images are retained on our CDN for as long as your App subscription is active. You can delete individual images or all stored images at any time directly from the App dashboard. We will permanently delete all images associated with your store within 30 days of App uninstallation or upon your written request.
Shop URL and shop ID are retained for as long as you have the App installed and are deleted upon uninstallation.

We do not retain any other customer or order information beyond what is described in this policy.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
